There are a range of training and development opportunities for research-focused academics available across UQ
The Staff Development website provides information on all training and development opportunities free for UQ staff members to attend.
•The Research section has many relevant courses
•Relevant courses for researchers can also be found in Academic Career Development under the People tab
•For some researchers training in the ohs and sustainability , section for example biosafety and chemical safety will be mandatory
For new to UQ and Early Career Researchers the following programs may be of particular interest.

UQ Research and Innovation also provide a range of seminars and training.
•The Research Management Office provides training focused on grant and fellowship applications and research ethics.
•The Research Integrity Office provides training on Research Integrity
The Graduate School manages supervision of research higher degree candidates. To act as principal RHD advisor you must be on the Principal Advisor Registry. New Principal Advisors will need to compete a short online training program
The Library also offers a range of training and development for researchers individually and also through training and development sessions.
UniQuest, an arm of UQ focused on commercialisation and industry engagement, also provide a range of training and development opportunities for researchers.
Faculties, Schools and Institutes also provide training and development opportunities for their research-focused staff.
Engage with your supervisors, peers, ECR committees, research management and administration officers and Associate Deans of Research to identify key contacts and opportunities in your Faculty, Institute or School
